Default batteries question

I am looking to get some batteries but am limited on weight. I would like to have 2 hc2400's but they are sooo heavy.. and i don't want to upgrade my rear suspension if possible. So what would you guys recommend for strong and lighter batteries? right now i have 2 red kinetik 1400's and a yellow top optima that im going to take out soon cuz its old. looking to get some more juice

Gangster alt is your only option for more juice without the weight. There's a reason big batts are heavy.

Can you fit another one under the hood?

Dude what are you driving? Im driving a tiny Nissan 240sx 2 door sports car and Ive got at least 250 pounds in my trunk.. easy. My box + subs is 130, battery 100.. plus my amps and anything else back there.

Car sits down a bit.. not too noticeable. I may beef up the struts someday.. or switch to a different wood for my box. Not sure how much that would help since most of the weight is the subs.

The weight was the biggest thing that bothered me in my Lexus. I hated the way the ass sagged. Hell, my full size truck squats with (5) 100Ah batts in the toolbox. People flash me all the time because my head lights are now pointed upwards with the rearward tilt. Lol.

Wood helps depending on your build size. Birch or even AC ply is roughly half the weight of MDF.

Yeah thats what I want to try. I think 11 ply birch. No idea where to find it though.

Even if it is half the weight.. the box doesnt weigh so much. I mean it does, maybe 50 pounds.. but the subs are 25 a piece, and the batt 100. So I will probably save 25 pounds at best.

Im probably going to beef up my rear struts somehow. Or just lower the front to match. haha

Use some of the spring spacers from autozone that people use to lift their car up to fit 22s and 24s. Some in the back, after the added weight, should have you back around stock ride height.

umm i drive a ford 500 but i have a wall with 2 dc 18s which weighs roughly 500 lbs plus 3 batteries and 4 amps so prolly around 600 lbs of equipment.. my ass sags down like an inch and a half from stock ride height AND i have some 22's im putting on this summer and i'm hoping they will fit with all the weight
