Default Wiring an amp to my speakers

I have a pair of Rockford fosgate T1693 in my civic they are 100wrms 200w peak 4ohm speakers and I want to install a 2ch amp for them . I've been looking at an amp to get but If I get one I have to look at the 4ohm specs on the amp since they are 4ohm speakers ? Is there any way to hook them up to get the maximum power from the amplifier ? Sorry noob question lol

You could always use a 4channel. Bridge the front channels to the left speaker and bridged the rear channels to the right speaker.

That's true . But that makes me wonder why they don't just make speakers 2ohms instead of 4 considering most are 4 .

There are companies that make 2ohm speakers.

There's no reason to do that, just go with a 100x2 rms amp, done.

Oh okay ha but if the amp is 100x2 @4ohm it would still have a rated power @2ohms right ? Isn't that kind of wasteful in a way because there's more potential still ?

No it's not, you are thinking about it the wrong way. Realistically you want to run at 4 and not 2 ohms. There's no need to run at 2 ohms.

Run another set of speakers?

But you probably won't notice a huge difference between 2 or 4 ohms
