Default How big is to big?

Im very impatient when it comes to car audio.. Im looking for a single 12" ported box for my new sub ( DD 2512) but i want to hear it now so im thinking about making a new baffle to make this sub fit in my box i built for my 13w7.

Its 2.9 cu ft tuned to 29hz.. is 2.9cu ft to big for a DD 2512? DD recommends 2.5 so im thinking 2.9 would be just fine

They want 2.5 for a single 12? My god, anyway, just lay .4 cubes worth of bricks in the box and your golden, microwave may work also.

If its just a temporary thing then I won't hurt to try. Just be careful, make sure you have you subsonic set and don't bottom the subs out of the lows. Don't expect optimal performace unless you get something designed(by a competent designer) and built for your specific application.
