Default Swapping out batteries...

Quick question, should I notice a delay in starting my vehicle if I replace the stock battery with an agm battery? I replaced the stock battery in my accord with a kinetik hc1400, and granted that it does turn on the car, there does seem to be a delay in starting.

Shouldn't have a delay. Possible loose wire/connection.

A "delay" or it turns it over slower? Not all AGM's have the cranking amps of a wet cell.

It turns over slower, sorry I didn't specify. Hmm that might be a problem as well, but the cranking amps of the stock battery is 450. I thought the kinetik was somewhere in the 600 range?

Was the kinetik bought used? What is its resting voltage? Was it fully charged when installed?

Yes it was used. Went to get it load tested and came out with a bad cell. However it still managed to turn on car . Even the voltage remained above 12.5s after turning on car. Resting was 12.7 when the battery arrived.

Load tests at pepboys don't properly test those batteries.

I actually do, its kinetik's "smart" charger. I charged the battery on there yesterday and no dead cells were detected (it charged just fine), which is why I was kind of surprised when they told me it had a bad cell at autozone.
