Default Amp won't turn on

I bought a Kicker 450.2 for $20. He said it was stuck in protect but when I bought it, it wouldn't even turn on. It doesn't look like anything is wrong with it, but who knows. I'll post a picture of the guts tonight but does anyone have any ideas for troubleshooting? When I looked it up on Google I didn't really get much help.

So the amp doesn't go into protect mode?

It doesn't do anything at all. I unplugged the amp I'm using now and plugged this one in and nothing happened. The power light doesn't turn on or anything. Then I plugged my other amp back in which still worked fine.

Now that I think about it I should have tried playing music I guess. But I tried turning it on last night but it didn't work that way either.

Pics of the amp inside and we can get you some points to measure if you have a meter.
You may need to post some closer shots later.

In order to do some amp diagnostics u will need a multimeter
Usually amp won't power on when there is something wrong electrical and is shutting off to prevent further damage.U did good tho at 20 bucks even if u can figure whats wrong with it u can always turn around sell for 20 or more. Will recommend u to read basic car audio repairs before u go any further .modern amps have high voltage power supplies so a mistake can be costly

That's what I figured when I bought it. I do have a multimeter but I'm not entirely sure how to use it. If I go to use it I will definitely make sure to look up how, though.
