Because it was patented and nobody wants to pay a licensing fee.

it's an older tech and I suppose people didn't want to pay to use it anymore. Probably can get the same.. if not better results with newer tech that's been developed since it hit it's top long ago.

That's dependent on your perspective.

i'm fond of the avalanche/brahma/older re xxx... but plenty of subs out there don't need xbl^2 to do the same thing. So as Terra said, ...dependant.

Terra... didn't you own cascade? or am I confusing.. sigh. I remember you had that original re mt motor/atomic softparts subs.. for the proto if im right lol

I still do own Cascade. The company still exists, I'm just on vacation.

It wasn't a proto, just a personal project.

Depends on my perspective. Meaning it's worth it if you don't mind the extra cost. Or in another way of stating, it does improve linearity while sustaining output.

Sure. I've never used it but I think that's the gist. Is it worth spending money for the privilege of using XBL^2 when the market share that cares (or even knows) about improving linearity isn't really large enough to matter? But then again LMS is patented too. Keeps people without deep pockets from pushing the concept further, and for those people we have split coils!
