Default Just got my big amp.. Now on to the sub selection!

I am a JL Audio fanatic.. I've started with a single w3 and moved all the way up to dual 10w7's on the JL 1000/1

I just purchased the rf t25001bdcp to go into the '06 Tahoe z71 I'm about to trade my '02 Yukon for.

Here's my question: I was thinking of going with a single Fi SP4 18" driver.. Being a JL guy... I'm used to nice SQ.. I just want more SPL.. it's time! I'm used to a single 12" ported, sealed, and my current dual 10w7 ported setup.

What I need to know is what a single big-boy 18" driver on the t25001 is going to be like.. Also, what a dual 15" or dual 12" setup that handles 2500w-3000w RMS sounds like compared to a single 18"

I don't want to go dual 18" because that's just too much truck real-estate.

I want the loudest, yet best SQ setup for the rf t25001bdcp

Let's hear it!

Haha well.... if you want more SPL, why not run 2 15's? Examples of some fairly priced 15's would be obsidian, skar, sundown SA series, etc etc. That'd be a nice 18 inch woofer though, you have a lot of options man. Figure out what woofer size and how many you want... might help narrow it down more.

That's what I'm asking. Help me narrow the field.. I have 2 10's and I think they hit pretty low.. I've had a single 12w6 ported on the jl 500/1 and it was so-so..

I've never had 15's or 18's so I have no idea how they sound.

I just want something that pounds that is a daily driver.. something that sounds good on mostly every song... a good frequency range if that's possible. I'd rather have a nice "name brand" like Fi or.. DC (if that's even a respected brand)..

indeed those are good brands, it really just depends on your budget as well man. Your in for a treat then, that amp on a pair of nice DC 12's or 15' will slam, look on the forum and do a little bit of research, there are plenty of good brands out there. I've been told that the skar's like the lows a little more than SA's or Obsidians, the SA's are very nice subs to.. very musical. Hope that helps!
