Default Experience with a 3000gt?

I am wanting to put a sub in my 3000gt, and I was wondering if anyone knew the best placement for it in the back hatch? It's going to be 1 8in woofer ported. Where should I put the box and what direction should I point the sub and the port? Thanks!

fire the sub at the window and fire the port into the passengers side rear corner. {leave 6 to 8" of clearance between the port and the corner}

this recommendation is for a cube box with and external port

I was going to recommend the same thing. 8" enclosures are very difficult lol

because SA8s like about 0.80 cu ft of air with a 4" port about 34" long {approx 33.5hz}

but... a 4" port 34" long won't even fit in .8 cu ft.

you can use a smaller box and the port will get longer. Or you can use a larger box and the port will get shorter.

I haven't tried a larger box yet because the specs didn't warrant it. I can tell you on the same total power, four are about the same output as two in the same size box and tuning.
