Default Closed cell foam

I was sitting here thinking of ways of doing things. Now, no way am I a pro at this, it is just a thought that popped in my head. So I pulled out the laptop and starting doing some searching. I'm looking to add another layer on top of the damp pro I have on the doors, to help to have the Polks perform and sound a little better. Is all CCF the same? I started searching and found that it can get pricey quick especially if I want to cover every door on my car and the ole lady's car. How would this work as a substitute say to the other sound deadners CCF. IE dynamat, second skin etc etc etc

Volara Closed Cell Foam, Padding, Sheet Foam Rubber, Poker Table Foam

I agree with slim. Decide what kind of treatment can be added to what you already have and will do what you want.

#1. Prevent wave cancellation.
#2. Make sure the sound waves from the front of the driver are not hindered by the door panel.

What I am looking to do is cut down on some of the buzzing from the door panel, and to quiet the cabin of the cars a little

If you're just trying to eliminate the buzzing and rattling, that can easily be remedied with the product you provided a link to.

Two tips though.
1. I would suggest looking for a product that is more waterproof/resistant for use in a vehicle.
2. Depending on the grade and quality of the Volara, it may have a high compression set. In other words overtime it may go "flat" from being installed between the door panel and sheet metal.

Read Sound Deadener Showdown - Your Source for Sound Deadening Products and Information

"When trim panels buzz or rattle, lining them with CCF will isolate them from whatever they are rattling against. Problem solved."

For some reason the Second Skin Audio website is not working but they sell similar products as well, shop around.

So if I wanted to fix my rear deck/door panels vibrating, where can I get some good cheap CCF? Not looking to spend a fortune.. like the OP said, it gets pricey quick. Everywhere Im putting this stuff is already "treated" with AT 60

second skin site is down

w w w . s o u n d d e a d e n e r s h o w d o w n . c o m

works just fine though.

other than that, I saw some CCF mat for rugs a Lowes for cheap.. a little thick.. like 5/16".. but at 24-30" wide and $4ish per linear yard, it seems like a decent option.
