Default 200 amp alternator help!

I just put a 200 amp alt in my suburban which had a stock 105 in it before. my queztion is my stock alt idled at a higher voltage? I had my alternatorrebuilt so everything is the same as stock(pulley). As soon as i hwithit the gas my votage jumps up. Ive done the big 3 with 4ga but i left the stock wires in place. My question is why does my battery still die on me? Its a deep cycle marine batt(105 amp hr). Only thing that makes sense is i only drive about 5-10 minutes one way to work. Imrunning a brz1200.1 wired at 1ohm and a r.f.300.4 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try putting that battery on a charger then stick it back in. What does the battery read when car is off?

possibly the rebuild wasn't successful and isn't charging properly or you have a short in the system draining the battery when the vehicle is off

What kind of car? Is it computer regulated voltage? Who built this alt?

You need a smaller pulley to get more out of it at idle.

Higher overall amp rating = less idle amp rating (generally)

Factory alts put out most of their amp rating at idle.

ok thanks that answers my question . I was told that i would get more amperage at idle from a higher output alt so i was a little confused, but i kinda figured that with the bigger windings, so i just wanted to make sure before i switched to a smaller pulley
