Default Loud single sub trunk cars chime in

I've been reading through the trunk threads on here and read some good stuff. I'm wondering what everyone is running and how loud they are. What box/port orientation have you personally had success with, how much power, etc.

Sub/port orientation will differ from car to car and whether your seats fold down, how much power, what subs you have or intend to run, etc. SPL or daily is a big one too.

Personally, the old standby that's never let me down is sub(s) up, port to the side. If you have the chops and room, I love me a bandpass blowthrough for non folding back seats.

Single Poweramper hybrid 12" @ 1ohms on 2200 rms 2.17 cubed L-port on passenger side tuned to 32hz in my toyota echo 139 dbs.. Keep in mind my box and amp takes up every little bit of trunk space...

Next build should hit over 150 db on 6000 rms, 4 cubes @ 50hz (61hz resonant freq in car) on a super hybrid 15"

Ive ran 3 differant single 18" sub setups in the trunk of my Bonneville with good success on low power 1000rms-1700rms. Ive always ran sub up/ports back orientation.
18" AA Mayhem on only 1000rms - YouTube

also ran a 13w7AE in 2.9 cu ft tuned to 29hz on a JL 1000/1 and was VERY impressed.
My 13w7 in 2.9cu ft tuned to 29hz on a JL 1000/1V2 - YouTube

right now im running a single 12w7 on a JL 1000/1. Sub up port to the drivers side and it is LOUD for 1 12" SQ sub!

I know every car reacts differently. My seats fold down and I should be running a saz3500. This will be for daily pounding. I don't really care about numbers. Which ever is loudest to my ear is the orientation I'll stick with

If 2.17cf takes up every little bit of trunk, how do you plan on getting 4 cubes in there? And 150 is a loooooooong ass way from 139, bro.
