Default Quick question about batteries?

Okay. I'm about to be running about 1500-1800 watts on my stock alt. I have 1000 right now with stock batt and alt and baareelyy get lights dimmed. How do I know wether to get a yellow top or a red top? And also, I'm assuming keep the stock one under the hood, and put this one in the back? Thanks.

red tops are not warranted for car audio.

any good working battery added near the amplifiers will help immensely. sealed AGMs are recommended because they are safer inside the vehicle than a standard lead acid battery.

AGM has lead and acid also.. but the acid is "Asorbed in Glass Mat".

Well, I didn't ask about size. Rather yellow or red. I was planning on going fairly large to leave upgrade room. Would u suggest yellow or red?

Ok if you are stuck on using optima then yellow. They are designed for car audio. The red tops not so much. However my statement earlier was implying using a bigger battery with more output. Ie kinetik, x's power, juicebox. Because in my experience I always want to go bigger. So if you start with a big battery there's no way to go bigger besides to add more. So if u think there is any way you would think about upgrading to more power in the future I'd just start big instead of having to upgrade battery too. No such thing as too big of a batt.

Well as far as brands I'm not stuck on anything I'm in for all suggestions. Was hoping for something I could pick up at my local batteries plus or something to avoid $50shipping. Glanced there today as only really saw optima.

In my opinion xs is one of the better ones. I'm getting ready to switch out my kinetiks for xs. Seemed to do alot better on load tests.
