Default sub dillema [soundstream88]

I currently have 2 mtx 9500's walled off in my blazer. What other subs will work for a high tuned box. I looked at psi platform 2's but they say they need a medium tuned enclosure. I will have 600$ at the end of the week for new subs. I am very happy with them, just not a mtx guy. They currently hit [email protected] 52 hz Any input would be great thanks

15'S YES. I would have to measure the box. It had shocker sigs in it at one time.

For power I am running my crescendo 3k. For the box it is tuned high. I peak @ 52 hz. box is about 9.4 cubes( i think) it has alot of port just not sure how much. I know this doesn't help much.lol I am waiting for my buddy to get back to me about the specs. He built it in 2002 for world finals.

Any ideas with the info I have. I know it's not much for box specs.

your box is approx 5 cu ft per side tuned at about 53hz. your port is too large and too short.

I suggest making the ports 3" wide by 24" tall by 20" long. {should get you down around 33hz} {and your airspace will increase}

stick with the subs you have now until you kill them.

change boxes or just make port plugs. honestly, tuning a little lower you may gain decibels.
