Default sound deadening trunk

I recently put a 15'' lvl 4 m2 in my grand prix run off a saz-1500d. the result is horrible rattle....so, i was thinking about using some sound deadener back there, but my box is literally wedged in the trunk, i dont know if i can even get it out. so, would it even be worth it to just do the lid? would it help the rattle and increase the bass in the car at all?

YES. Made a much more noticeable difference in my car.

I used liquid deadener and painted it on with a brush. Secondskin spectrum. Its GOOD stuff.. I first filled my trunk lid with great foam, then painted it with spectrum. The result is much less trunk rattle.

I must note.. that the trunk rattle is almost just as bad outside the car and that is inevitable. Inside the car, I cant hear the rattles anymore :]

You could get some sound deadener(I recommend audio technix 60mil unless you want to go hardcore and get the 80 mil) for the trunk lid that will help with some viberations, but I would get something like this Sound Deadener Showdown - Your Source for Sound Deadening Products and Information to trace on the trunk lid where it meets the factory seal, To help keep pressure inside the car. I'm pretty sure that would work like i'm thinking it will.

I definitely can second the great stuff in the trunk lid... that alone helped a ton in my monte carlo.

Just be careful... don't put too much up there... it expands quite a bit. Too much can distort the panel.
