Default midbass driver need a inclosure?

Loudspeakers | APMB-8BT

I'm installing 4 of these in a rear deck. Would they need an inclosure or can I leave them free air into the trunk?

For a rear deck in a car? Or are they going in your suv? I'm putting like 6 midbass in tHe trunk of my wagon and im almost positive I'm just gonna free air them. My boy has 4 10"s in his car they are inside the trunk facing up towards the rear deck and they are free air also

If you leave them free air and he has subs in the trunk they will be very distorted.

If you seal those up the F0 is going to raise well beyond the point of being midbass. If you want to use them as mids that will be fine, but personally I wouldn't seal them up.

I went small sealed for my last midbass and I can tell you that if I have room, I'll be doing small sealed from here on out.
