Default Alternator Problems

I dont post on here very often but i feel the need to get the word out there.
Recently i purchased a custom 320 amp alternator for my 2001 honda civic from none other than dominick iraggi. I have read alot of mixed reviews in the past but decided to be the judge for myself. Before i get too ahead of myself here, the reason i considered purchasing a alt from iraggi was because he claims to make a 320 amp alt for my car. This is pretty much unheard of for the 7th gen honda civics. I talked to him on the phone for a while asking a multitude of questions and he was more then helpful. i decided to go ahead with the payment and get the ball rolling. he got the alt built and shipped to me on time for the most part. the alt was custom painted to match my car, everything looked beautiful. i got the alt on a friday and put it in the next day. as soon as i fired up the car for the first time after the install i got a battery light on my dash. ive never seen this light since ive owned my car(4 years) i checked to make sure the alt was charging. the alt is charging but only at 13.5 volts. this instantly threw up a red flag for me. i tried contacting dom iraggi that day to ask him whats going on but i got no answer. i tried his cell phone and work multiple times without any luck of getting ahold of him. i sent him a very detailed email about everything and i got no reply. finally i texted him a couple days later asking if he read my email and i got a response and a return phone call. he talked to me on the phone about the issue for about 25 minutes. i got the impression from him that he was trying to pull a fast one on me, saying things like its not uncommon for your battery to charge anywhere from 13.3 to 14.4 volts and how voltage is not as important as how much current the alternator is outputting, blah blah blah you get the idea. all in all he thinks its the wrong voltage regulator or a bad regulator. he would like for me to send it back to have it taken care of but from the horror stories ive heard so far and the way he's been with customer service im stuck between a rock and a hard place. later that night after we talked about the regulator i texted him saying i would like a refund instead of getting the alt repaired. no response. i pretty much feel like im about to get ****ed.

im posting this so people that dont know any better or were like me and want to give dom iraggi the benefit of the doubt, i strongly advise against doing any business with him.

sorry about the rant

why would you even buy from him. if you would have used the search button you would have seen all the horror stories about him. that wasnt enough to make you steer clear away?

hey no problem man thats wut were here for i just wish we could have steered you the right way to begin with. i went with a alt of ebay. 170 alt for 225 shipped. alt works great still and beat the crap out of it last summer. to me it was money well spent. i got my moneys worth out of it for sure. check ebay just to see. also mechman and dc power are good but pricey imo. good alts though
