Default Cazy voltage flucuations - need advice

I have a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. The factory alternator is 90 amps. I am currently using a JL Audio XD600/1 and XD400/4 amplifiers. Less than 1000wrms. The factory alt does surprisingly well with this setup. voltage rarely goes below 13.5v above 1500 engine rpms. I have a DC Audio 2.0K that I will hopefully get back from repair soon.

I have a D3400 starting battery, big 3 in 1/0, 1/0 ground from alternator to battery, 1/0 pos to trunk, 1/0 neg to trunk. All 1/0 is Stinger HPM.

I recently installed my brand new Excessive Amperage 200a alternator. I am experiencing crazy voltage flucaution. the voltage dips down into the 12's then sky rockets into the high 15's. It doesnt do this on all music though. Tracks that have long bass notes hold steady in the 14's.

Do you guys have any idea why my voltage is fluctuating so badly since installing the Excessive Amperage alt?

that looks normal to me. its not always gonna pull the same amount of current. different frequencies will pull different amounts of current and hence change voltage more. the punchy notes can draw alot because its such a sudden draw that the alt can't always have all of the needed current ready on hand. in terms of what you've shown in the video, i wouldn't be worried at all.

Really?!?!?!?!

My factory alt held better voltage, really never dipped that low or spiked that high.

Why didnt the factory at do that?

I am concerned about blowing the ecu with the voltage spiking above 15 volts.

where is the volt meter connected too? the alt spiking on quick notes isn't uncommon but i'd say 15.7 is a bit much. have you contacted nate?

I sent Nate an email this evening. I am waiting to hear back.

The volt meter is connected to the XD400/4 power input terminals.

I measured with my DVM at the battery and got the exact same reading at idle.

id check the voltage at the alt during these songs you're showing. make sure it's not the meter or something install related. if it's not, i think there may be a slight regulator issue? mine spikes sometimes. from maybe 14.7 to 15.1. but thats the absolute worst i've ever seen it. and the only reason it does it is because it's still compensating for that draw it just was called on for

My vehicle has horrible belt wrap from the factory. I installed a 70mm idler pulley to help. I am going to try a 85mm idler pulley this weekend. I am hoping this is belt slip and that a bigger pulley will be the solution.

Here is a pic of the idler pulley installed.

I am 10000000% positive my voltage panel is dead balls.

My headlights are also a good indicator. They flickr that bad it is unreal.
