when you say "loud" what do you mean? do you want theseto fill in a gap for the seleniums? like a 3-way system instead of a 2-way system?

i have this
Boston Acoustics GT-24 (bagt24) 900W RMS, 2-Channel Amplifier
wired to 3 ohms (i have 3 in a middle console all 8ohm)
at least 600rms right? and im pushing 13.3 on full tilt driving.
but for these tang bangs i would put them on a 50.2 kicker amp getting 50rms each

and loud as in right now full tilt i cant hear myself yelling and i still want the vocals to be a bit louder. in the future ill be putting in two more seleniums and pusihng all 5 (8ohm) speakers at what should be around 1.8ohms right?

would the tang bangs be able to get me to that level?

No, not even close. I've played with a few and they're great little speakers (even though I think the Auras are a bit better) but they will probably only add strange spikes in the system, if anything.

ive installed those speakers before, and while they sound great, they aren't super loud. If you look at the sensitivity is only 84.5 dB, which is pretty low (as most full rangers have lower sensitivity).
i don't really have any other suggestions tho, because i've never tried to get a system anywhere near that loud hehe.

I run the Dayton Neo's that are similar to these. They are get for fill and offer a bit of depth in the right application. But I wouldn't push them to high on the upper end. I think mine are cut at 4k or something like that.

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..
