If there is any (measurable) difference at all, there are 2 ways to combat it:
1. The drop across the wire is a constant (if it's .1 then it will always be .1). So you could measure it and if your meter was off by .1, you could just keep that in mind and add .1 (mentally) to the reading.
2. Volt meters such as the Stinger are adjustable. So you measure at the amp, then match the voltages using a knob on the back of the meter. Problem solved.
