Default can someone walk me through how to hook up a ohio gen regulator

Can someone walk me through how to hook up a ohio generator adjustable voltage regulator.i have a ohio gen 16 volt external regulated alternator.i know the field wire goes to wire on alt but does the power for the regulator have to be 12 or 16 volts and then ground.im runing dual 8 volt batterys to do 16 volts so any help would be appreciated.this is a 2nd alt i still run my stock alt for the car the 16 volts is only for my amps.

Nobody knows how to wire this.

well ive never ran mine separate. so i always hooked the 12 volt wire to a switched wire like ignition. so i would start there and then make sure it adjust's then if it dont work hook it to the 16volt side. either way wont hurt it.

the regulator is the 911-2r blue box from ohio gen

Use a 12v to power the regulator that's all it needs.and then use a switch or a relay to power on the regulator when needed

Talked to nate at excessive sounds like i have to run 16 volts to the power side of regulator since im running a 16 volt system.

No i have daul 8 volt tractor batteries but the will be run in parr or series to get 16 volts
