Default Alternator whine?

I have a pioneer p980bt that had a whine for awhile now I believe it is the deck itself since I have played my Ipod through the rca's at the deck and have no noise. 2 weeks ago it got real loud and now comes through the sub amps much more than before. I changed the ground the frame with no change. I grounded the rca's which decreased the noise allot but its still there. I took the deck apart to see if I could find a loose input pin or bad trace but did not see anything.
Have I missed anything?
Does anyone repair these decks?

i put money on this. Pioneers are NOTORIOUS for needing the RCAs grounded to the HU. just take some speaker wire, strip it all. wrap it around each RCA and screw to the metal on HU.

Try grounding the headunit to a bracket behind the dash. i had the same issue with my chevy blazer and pioneer 880prs. take the black ground wire and directly ground it to the vehicle. if it doesn't go away after that, something is wrong with the radio.
