Default amp(s) for street trunk class

i'm looking around for a single amp or 2 smaller amps for db drag trunk class
1 4000 rms rated amp or 2 2000 rms rated amps

1 amp will be ran at 0.25 rise to 0.76 ohm
2 amps at 0.5 each rise to 1.5 ohm

anyones thoughts on 2 AB HD3500 , how they perform , they get there rated power

Pair of IA 20.1's would be my first thought.

My very first choice would be a pair if B2 Audio "Zero5's" though. Holy crap. Talk about domination. They're 2k @ 1 but severely under rated. Would they clamp if they thought your amp was making too much power?

(2) DD M2a's would be sick too.

IA 40.1 as a single amp solution. That thing would open up nicely rising to under 1ohm and probably your absolute best bet for a single amp.

I tell you what... The new Flatline Audio "FL1" looks very, very promising for your class. Great power on low voltage and the price is right. These might take the top spot because of price to performance.

What is the price range for those zero5's? Saw your clamp test of em and they look pretty damn stout. Also never heard of flatline. Whats your opinion on the company?

massive db8000, ia40.1, ia20.1s, older hifonics cyclops, pair of sundown saz1500s or hard to find saz2000s, powerbass xa4000, and or a vfl 200.1 just to name a few good options for that class. I think i may try my hand in it this next year and will be trying the db8000 just for the power to size ratio.

Contact Jack Sisco for pricing. Be warned though... they are not cheap.

Also, Flatline is a brand new company right here in Louisiana doing things the right way. They are just hitting the ground and I actually have their "FL2" ([email protected]) in my car right now. You guys can expect my review of that amp in the next couple days. Initial indications are VERY favorable though. Keep your eyes open for these guys.

I do like that Massive db8000 as I had a pair. I got 4,600 rising to .9. That's nice. Being that it's a half ohm amp though, I don't think it can quite run with the 40.1. And certainyl not as durable. Not that it gave me any indication otherwise, but when it comes to durabilty and stability, IA is top of the heap.

And FYI - the new American Bass rating would eliminate the 200.1 from this list. The PowerBass is the only other one I would consider worthy in there.

Yeah I figured anything b2 is quality but also a pretty penny. Was looking at flatlines facebook page last night after I saw your post and the numbers look very promising but they put some gut shots up and the boards almost look bare compared to other 3k amps I have seen. I'm looking forward to your review though. Thanks for the info though I'll be looking out for your review
