Default Replace busted inductor... Help!!!

So my inductor coil on my crossover busted off today and can't really get to the wire to solder it back on...

So here is what the crossover shows for the type:

0.2mH1.0

I'm guessing its basically this:

Jantzen 0.20mH 18 AWG Air Core Inductor 255-210

but there are different gauges that are available... Not to sure what to buy for a replacement...

You need a micrometer to measure the thickness to find the correct gauge wire.

I do not suggest rewinding the coil.

I do suggest soldering an extension on the existing wire.

as long as the extension piece you solder on is more conductive than the wire of the inductor, the value of the inductor will not change. (if you use solid copper, then 16 gauge will be fine)

Thing is can't get to the existing wire without compromising the existing coil our I would do what you've said...

won't be rewinding it... Basically going to lop the one of and solder the new one on... 20 gauge will fit the foot print... Same inductance value and similar size
