Default Options for keeping stock dash, and adding a sub?

Hello,

First time poster here. I'm pretty new to car audio, but would like to install some new speakers in my new car.

I really like my stock dash, and I've been researching different ways of integrating it into my future system.

I have looked at DSPS such as the JBL MS-8, Alpine H800, and audison bit ten, among others. These seem to be the way to go for a lot of people, but the price point is a little high for me to buy right away.

Is there any way I could do this cheaper? I was recommended some audiocontrol products, but to be honest, I have no idea what they do.

Please let me know what you guys think is the best way to go. This is for a 2013 accord sedan, and I intend on adding a mono amp and sub first, and then upgrading my front speakers.

Thanks,

You just need an LOC. Which is a line output converter. It takes speaker wire and turns it into RCA's.

Your best bet for future upgrades is an AudioControl Lc2i. It has a sub out that "restores" the sub bass that's often EQ'd out of factory systems and it also has another RCA output incase you want to add a highs amp later.

Cool thanks for your advice. Does this mean I can only use a 400w amp with my sub? The sub is a SA8V2. Thanks. and what is the difference between this and a $10 LOC?

Thanks!

99.9% of the cheap line out converters are only designed for up to like 15 t0 18w input..
so if you got a facotry ampd system.. itll cut that converter out at higher volume

i used a cheap LOC in my g6 at 1st..( i had the 600w monsoon system) and when i went to 1/2 volume it cut out..

spend more and get a quality unit
