Ok so i have an apx 18 in a big box with a 2100 brutus. Its been tuned at a local audio shop and isnt clipping and the sub was sounding good. Due to all the vibration the sub like slipped out from the screws and since its forward facing is kind of sticking out and balancing on the basket. Now it wasnt making a funny noise until i slammed on the breaks to not get hit by a car and then i think it slid out a little bit further and started making this almost bottoming out shaking noise thing. I know this sub is very well made and made to take a ton of power so im like 99.90% sure i didnt blow it but is it just because the air was leading out of the terrible seal that it could be making a funny nosie and high volumes along with the wind fapping noise? once i pushed it back in it seemed to stop but havent had much time to play with it. and i mean the sub was sitting like a good 1inch or so slanted so i mean quite a bit of air was coming out. I had a lanzar opti drive sub and i free aired it when i didnt know anything about subs loud and it seemed to make a clicking/bottoming out noise to but when i put it in a box it sounded fine. any ideas??
