Default car audio batterys good for starting car?

was thinking of getting 2 d3100's and was wondering if i could run them to start my car as well. i am not sure if i would need a dedicated battery to run my setup also going to be runnin a tenny 290a with my setup thanks for the input

They werent designed with it quite as much in mind as a typical starting battery, but yes, they start a car just fine.

You would be very surprised of how small a high quality battery will start a car.

well i was going to get the XS ones so i wanted to make sure i can do it and still be ok with everything

ive been using a xs d1200 for a starting battery in my daily for a year now
just wrapped it with header wrap battery still looks like new still rests at 12.9 13v

subs- 4 Skar audio ix8s 2cube net at 28hz 6" aero
amps- Audio Technix 400.1 & infinity 7520a
highs- 3 sets of Scosche hd 6.5"
headunit- fancy DUAL audio xdma760
sound deadend with peel n seal and expanda foam

what stuff did u use mine will be in the back because even my stock battery is in the back of my car but a link to the wrap would be a plus

kinda like this stuff
but i got mine at autozone
all it does is keep heat out but if your battery is in the back its going to be a waste of money

No, batteries arent supposed to get hot by themselves.

More than a few people have had trouble with XS batteries under the hood swelling up very badly because of not being insulated from the engine heat. If all your batteries are in the rear of your vehicle away from the engine, you are good to go.

It will be fine. I start my Escape with an SPV44, which is smaller than the stock battery, everyday.
