Default Can't choose

Self admittedly, I am the most indecisive person with my system. I will be selling my current setup to a friend, and I can't seem to decide on what to do next. I'm thinking a single 15 and a new amp, hope to get around 1500+ watts with a bit of overhead room, so for $750 I need a decent amp and sub for that. I have looked at AB XFL, HD, AQ HDC3, Fi Q, and some custom ones that are available here. So far I'm thinking a loaded Fi Q or AB HD on a SS Tarantula 2600 gained down.

If y'all have any ideas for me, let me know! I'm looking for something that will play Decaf/rap/dubstep with authority, but still be musical for rock/classical/country.

also, this will all be going in the trunk/hatch area of a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse GT, so around 4.5 cubic feet for the box.

Any of those subs will handle that amp fine

Except for the XFL. The others listed would all be fine though. You'll get a little more output in 40+hz range from the HD's/HDC3's, but you'd get a little more in 20-30hz range from the Fi Q. That's also going to come down to the box, but I would say in general, that statement will hold true. It really comes down to what you're looking for.

So far, I'm leaning toward the FI Q, as it comes in at around 400 with shipping direct from Fi to me, but any other suggestions or subs or amps would be great, since I'm not set in stone on these. Thanks for the input guys, also, I don't care if it's new or used, so if you have anything laying around that you'd be interested in selling, let me know

FI customer service sucks, wait time sucks and woofers arent that great. I vote AQ HDC, or if you want to look at another option how about a DC Level 4 or XL?

There's so much good equipment out there, it's hard to give a recommendation without knowing what you're looking for. Do you want something more SQ oriented, or just the loudest option for your budget, or possible something else?

whoa whoa whoa.....their CS does suck...you are correct, their woofers on the other hand are pretty good. Its more the wait time than anything.
OP you will get your woofer, just takes 4-6 weeks.

Sorry about that, I should have clarified better. I have always been more of an sq guy, but I'm not super hardcore about it. I am hoping for a lot of output for rap/bass songs, dubstep, etc. but I still want it to be accurate as well. I've been told I have music ADD cuz I go from Decaf to eric clapton to lion king songs, so I want it to have great output while still retaining a musical feel, not the sloppy loudness of some woofers.

Also, I did look at DC stuff, but the only rep near me is quite pricey for it, and I just wasn't all that impressed with the LVL 4's i've heard so far, maybe it was the box or w.e., but they just seemed hollow to me, like for the money and rep, they should be more than they are. Now the lvl 5/lvl 6 is a different story, I love those, but they need too much juice and space for what I have.

I'd get the custom 15" Modded 3hp Sub w/Green Ti Basket. Sub is already build no one around you will have something like it. I now its a bit over your budget but I think i'd be worth it.

My vote goes for a Tantric HD. Good output and sound quality, and in your price range. Can handle a clean 2000W. There are many others that would work well. I've been just been nuthugging Tantric lately.
