it takes around 2hrs to charge 1 battery 100%
your not supposed to charge over 2.2v per cell
using a 10 to 15amp charger for 1 battery is going to cause ALOT of heat and over repeated charge times itll weaken
There's a big difference between a maintainer/tender and a charger.
A maintainer is designed for exactly that, maintaining. They take a long time (by comparison) to charge batteries fully.
A good CHARGER will have multiple charge settings depending on what you have it hooked up to.
Also, it depends on the speed at which you want to charge your batts. For someone like me who competes, I need a charger that can charge my bank relatively quickly (i.e. higher amperage settings).
I actually use both maintainers and chargers. My truck sits on a maintainer year round when not in use. This keeps my bank "topped off" and keeps the batts in good condition. However, when I'm competing or testing I have my xs power charger hooked to it in order to recharge my bank relatively quickly.
Both items have their respective duties.
