I always recommend having matching batteries. So, if you only use the big one up front, make sure you have twice the required amount wiring that your rear mounted amplifiers need. For example, if your amplifier(s) in the rear of the vehicle require one run of 0g, run 2 0g wires from the front battery (alternator, preferably) to the rear battery.
Or, run 2 matching small/medium sized batteries front and rear.
