Default Grounding issues

Hey guys, I was talking to my friend who is walking me through how I would hook up my system and he had said something about running another 0gauge from front to back. Does anyone know where I would be grounding that to?
Im running 2 dc lvl 3 15s with a crescendo bc 2000 and I have one 2400 watt kinetic battery

The front to back run of 1/0 goes from your amps ground to the battery ground (negative) Then the battery should be grounded to the frame. This is usually better than grounding from the amp to the frame if you have a unibody car

ok.. that woud be the 1st time ive ever heard of some1 running a wire from a alternator mounting bolt to the the back..
grounding the alternator helps ALOT tho..( just a short ground to a solid bolt etc) NOT front to back..i consider it the big 4 (look it up)

yes runing a ground from front battery to back helps in SOME cases.. higher power systems benefit better from this..

you will NOT see any voltage gain in your situation itd be a waste of wire..
do a 0g run front to back.. and do 1 or 2 solid grounds in back to the frame ( ALWAYS PAINT OVER THE EXPOSED GROUNDS) and your set

So your saying is find two different spots to put gvround in the back the car to ground the kintick instead of running it from the front back battery to the back? And do the big three upgrade?

power run front to back and just do 1 0g or 2 0g ground leads directly to the frame and PAINT OVER THEM ( in a few days itll start rusting again unless painted)
and the big 3 upgrade.. you know what that is??
the factory (often 8g or 10g wire) charge line..
from the alternator positive post to the battery
the battery ground itsself and the block ground.. thats the big 3 upgrade..

It not 100% necessary to paint over it, its just to insure it doesnt rust or corrode over time.

Ive never painted over mine, but I probably havent kept the same system or wiring long enough to see rust/corrosion ever be a problem.

I would run a single 1/0 from the front batt + to your amp/battery in the back if you have one, and then ground everything else to the frame.. use a bolt that is solid, if you an wiggle the ground its no good. Sand it down first.

I usually do the big 3 like this.

Alternator + to front battery +
Alternator mounting bolt to front battery -
Chassis to front battery -

The alternator mounting bolt will suffice as an engine ground.

Fail. Menards has 97 cent spray paint. Youre spending too much for the fancy stuff.
