Default Ported or 4th better???

I unfortunately have an 08 impala with seats that don't fold down now if I had a ported box built and cut the rear deck to move air into the cabin would it still sound good or would a 4th be better ofcourse if a 4th works better all amps and batts would be on the back seats because of space with just a normal ported box I can fit everything into trunk

Depends on the specs of the subs... Totally different in what qualifications subs should have to be efficient in either...

In order to get a true idea what would work best, you need to get the T/S specs... If you know someone with a Woofer Tester from Parts Express, have them test it. Otherwise, it would just be guessing what would be most efficient.

the most forgiving of not having the specs would be the ported box, but it could go either way depending on actual specs. does the seat come off? if your considering putting equipment on the seats perhaps you can remove the back seat. to help it bteathe through a little.. i did this with my car when i was still in the trunk with the same situation ( seats didnt fold down.)

Still waiting on that measurement from my boy but I'm not sure if they come off or not but if I put the equipment on the back seat I'd want it to look nice so I'd have a custom design to hide the amps and batts something with plexiglass

I can agree with this... Without specs, I'd probably go ported. As far as size, etc... It's hard to say.

Since they are PSI soft parts, why not email them and see what they suggest?

And agreed, without the T/S, ported would be much more forgiving if the box was a lil off from the recommend specs.
