Unhappy Remote amp turn on/power antenna turn on wiring issue.

I am installing a Pioneer HU in a 1996 Pontiac Firebird. The Pioneer head unit has only 1 lead for the amplifier or power antenna turn on. I was instructed to wire together the Pioneer HU remote lead with both the remote amp turn on and the power antenna turn on.

When the unit is powered on, the power antenna rises and the amp is turned on. So far, so good. When the unit is turned off manually, the amp is powered down and the antenna lowers. Still good. But when the unit is allowed to play until the cars auxiliary power times out and tries to shut off the unit, automatically, then a problem occurs. The problem is: the HU turns off, the antenna lowers, then the HU turns back on after a second or so and the antenna rises again. This cycle repeats itself endlessly. Why is this happening and how do I prevent this problem from occurring?

Power antenna turn on that comes from the headunit or that's on the harness of the car?

The Pioneer HU has only one remote lead. This lead goes to the amplifier if there is an amplifier. It goes to the power antenna otherwise. This is what the connections diagram on the manual shows. There is no schematic for both an amplifier and a power antenna.
