Default Ok people need some help......

I have read the 4th order thread numerous times so don't say use the search button. I ran the wt3 on my 4 3512's in 4.8 cubes sealed(1.2 each) and got a sealed resonance of 41hz. My question is how much do i need to shrink it to get it @ 45-47hz? I was thinking down to .75 a sub? Also how big is too big on the ported side of things for 12's? Power is 2 m4a's @ 1 ohm strapped. Roughly 10-12k on tap. I tried it @ 41 hz but anything above say 40 and the subs wanna basically unload. Also another thing even with say 4-5 cubes ported a sub u still only use half of cone area for port area or go say 16-18 in per cube? My port now is 17 per cube. Its weird. Any help is appreciated.

Dude, you probably know more about BP's than 99.99999999% of people on here.

I find it odd that they're unloading at higher frequecies though. Are they unloading or is the FR just falling on it's face? Your ratio is probably too high and the FR just falls off a cliff after your peak.

I know you know this, but the larger the ratio, the more gain you'll get, but the smaller the bandwidth.

Shrink the sealed section to get resonance up. Shrink your ratio to maybe 3:1 and use 1/3 - 1/2 cone area for the port. Sq in per cube isn't the best way to figure that. That should open up the FR some and still give you a nice gain.

took the words right out of my mouth.

Shrink the ratio or lose some port. IMO . I cant see you unloading at higher freqs but only the FR dropping off like taylor said. Try Shrinking the ported chamber or raise tuning and come back
