Default Looking to do a few buddies installs

I was just wondering if/how bad it would be to run 200-300A fuses when my buddies are on stock electrical and only running 500-1000 watts max? I may buy a few ANL fuse holders and well id be getting a better deal if i buy more you know? i would also be running 0/1 gauge.

You fuse according to wire ampacity. Not system output.

yes and no. again your question is too vague. if you have a 10 gauge power wire with a 200a fuse, say your + wire grounds out you can cause some 4th of July type issues. if you have a 0 gauge CCA wire that is rated at 200A for 20ft than you'll be fine.

Like t-fade said, match ur fuse in the main power line to what ever the wire is rated for

Then in the back, use the fuse for the amps rating IF the amp does not have its own fuses
