Default **PICS** 18" tc sounds 5200 help me identify and recone options

I purchased this subwoofer blown with the intentions of reconing it. where can i get a drop in recone without sending it out for measurements. i live in hawaii oahu and it cost 50+ to ship me in a recone/baskett from the mainland so shipping the subwoofer to and from is going to kill me and not an option.

what i'd like to know is what kind of motor is this 5200? 4hp? 3hp? what i do know is one of the 4 coils with broken tinsel leads read 1.8 ohms on my multimeter. where can i find a recone for this, maybe psi will help i'd love to see this with a psi recone. i seen them recone a lms 5400 but i have a hard time finding info of this 5200 on the web

I've never heard of a 3" 5200.

if your coil is about 4" in diameter... it's about right.. 4"

im guessing this is a 4" coil but is this a 3hp or 4hp motor. does the hp rating mean the coil size?

ya know.. if it operates.. without noises, you can just use the coils that do work.

three 1.8 ohm coils can be wired parallel for 0.6 ohm. Or series for 5.4ohm.

[no reason to recone because of one lost coil out of four]
