Orion Chicago 2500.1
Ok I bought this amp from a stereo dealer on eBay it took me a minute to hook it up because I was waiting on my hcca 15.2 recone . So finally got it and hooked it up everything good then amp shuts off then 5 seconds later coms back on . I touched the amp and shit was it hot very hot . So I removed one 15.2 from the equation which now gives me a 2500 rms @1ohm shuts off again , ok go with each coil to each channel wrong shuts off again ? Now correct me if I'm wrong here but 1 ohm stable is not a top secret ohm load that only the CIA knows about. Because when I contacted the seller he said maybe 1 ohm is a little to much for it to handle past a few min , WTF ? Tells me to wire my sub parallel to create a 4 ohm load then I should be fine " MF'er then I should have just bought a 4 ohm amp if that's what I wanted he said the amp was new and it did come in new packaging but could it be a refurb and how can I tell ?
He's just a taste of the conversation
A 1 ohm load even if its just one sub is harder on the amp then a 2 ohm load, impedance is just too low at 1 ohm for this amp to run more then a few minutes at full volume, wire the single 15.2 in series and have the amp play and I guarantee the amp plays and plays with absolutely no problem. Your requirements that this amp play 2 15's hcca and push them hard is not achievable as I had said before, as orion themselves suggests 1 2500.1 for a single 15"
Please provide a phone number and I will discuss this with you.

I already have taken out the equation of 2 subs and went with 1 to verify .
I used a dual 2 ohm hcca 15.2 wired in parallel producing a 1 ohm load at the amp , this seemed worse on the amp and harder because I started to smell the amp straining to keep up , this was only 1 hcca 15 wired into a 1 ohm config the amp just can't take it . I let it cool down and turned it back on to verify it was not blown , it is not there has to be something wrong internally I can play it in mid volume but if I wanna blow my ear drums this wont stabilize at a 1 ohm load it seemed to play longer with 2 subs x 1 channel at 2 ohms both wires parallel on each sub then wired in series to get the 2 ohm 1 channel load . Even if you could get Orion to fix the amp under your warranty or even if you could find me one used that works because its just not holding true to what it's supposed to hold.
