Default HT guy in caraudio world

Joined a bit ago to see what was going on in the car caraudio world as it has been a while since I've been involved. I have moved Into the home theater world at this time in my life. I have built 5 subs for that purpose over the last year. I wanted to check in here to see what was for sale and do some research on alot of the custom subs people. It has been a great reference and I wanted to say thanks to everyone. The home theater has become a hobby though an expensive one. So I'm looking to do a new enclosure at this time so let me I is your thoughts I am looking at doing a single 12" driver with dual PR's. I will be tuning to around 18hz. For power I have a few amps for
The house that range from 300w-3000w. So let me know your thoughts on a good solid 12" driver and PR's as I would like to make a purchase as soon as possible to get started. Thanks

Are you wanting to put this in a vehicle or your house? There's no reason to tune that low in a car unless you want to peak at infrasonic frequencies. Cabin gain in a car is totally different than a typical room gain you see in HT.

Older car audio guys might remember kryptonwhite, who was probably the only one to tune that low on a large scale. RIP.

It's going in the house for a sub in the kids game room. That is why I am looking at the low tuning. Any recommendations

Also to note I have my HP filters modified on 1 amp at 15hz and the other amps are at 18hz. I have used car subs for other projects like the TC LMS and Dayton and stereo integrity all tuned to around 18hz some ported some with PR's but was thing of going a different route. They all have worked good just changing things up some so any recommendation looking minimum 20mm excursion. And something with minimal 500w rms

Why not tactile transducers with a 12 on a couple hundred watts? The only sub I could recommend is the Dayton hf or maybe those new ones with the tall surround, they look badass. So you need 3000w on a sub for your kids to play video games? Lol. Sundown has a new sub coming out mean for low tuning and big power

Funny...to me (and probably the rest of the car audio world), those subs you listed at HT subs that have been used in car applications, not the other way around. Take any advice you get here with a grain of salt, as I don't think there's many people here who know anything about HT sub integration (myself included). There's a separate forum that you might have more luck with:

Yah I know. They are all car audio subs. But they work very well for home theater also. What is out there now that is a good beefy 12 that has some good Xmax and can handle say 500-1000w rms. what would you recommend that route. On the forums ya I am on a few home theater forums also just wanted to get some input from the car audio side on some good 12 subs
