One tool (DD-1) is used to sense distortion at 1%
One toos(Oscope) Is used to see clipping
I am so sick of seeing oh my scope made me louder or my scope is better dd-1 is better yadda yadda yadda
they are two very different tools for use in different ways
If you really know how to use your tools you would have both (like me)
DD-1 i use to see the distortion at a certain frequency. You dont have to only use 40 hz or 1k hz its just those detect lights that light up. Ive been using 30 and 3k for a while just fine on the dd-1 and its accurate.
The oscope (I got a dso nano yet again) I cant see the distortion but i can see clipping. And if im looking for an sq oriented setup ill use my dd-1 if i want to get loud and **** everything else. Ill use the oscope......
Seriously guys stop hatin on one or the other when they arent even the same. Thats like me hatin on sundown because i run klipsch....
