Default Tuning rear deck port?

So I'm about to help a buddy with his impala install but his back seats don't fold down. so I was pondering the idea of figuring out the remaining volume of the trunk after everything is installed and when we rebuild the rear deck actually tuning the vent so it's basically a 6th order.... Anyone done this with good results or should we just cut out as much of the rear deck as possible and call it a day. Running two MT/PSI 12''s on a skar4500.

far to many leaks for it to work like that. you will never get the results you tried to come up with between panel flex and leaks, plus the seats screw stuff up.

I'd just cut it out.

His box is already built. Would you cut out the rear deck and put breathable cloth over the factory deck or trim it out and leave it open but no depth to it so it's not really tuneable.
