I think my Epicenter is not working correctly, but I do not have another one to compare it to.
Even when the remote knob is turned completely down (counterclockwise), the Epicenter light still flashes, and it distorts the waveform.
If I play a straight 40Hz wave, I see a 40Hz wave on the output, but every other positive cycle of the waveform is attenuated partially. (Used a Fluke scope to see this).
When I called Audiocontrol, they said it should do this if you play a straight sine wave through it. Something about it looking for upper harmonics and such? This sounds wrong. When I do not turn the knob to activate the circuit, the thing should not be altering the waveform. I do not think it ever used to modify it before, but I have no scope proof.
Can someone verify if the Epicenter light flashes if they play a straight sine wave and do not turn the knob?
