Default OPTI2000D VS Sound Stream Tx1.2600D

Hi guys i have a dilemma on which 0.5 stable amplifier would be the best choice for my needs. I have 4 RE Audio SEx12D4 subs and need to know which 0.5 ohm stable amplifier you all would choose to power these subs. I have them in a custom quad 12 sealed enclosure built to RE Audio specs, made with 1" MDF, and also has 4+ coats of fiberglass resin. I am on a budget and found these two 0.5 stable amplifiers that would meet my power requirements. My car has a 220amp PowerBastard alternator, all 2/0 Awg 100% Copper welding cable, including Big 3 upgrade, an XS Power D3400 Group 34 AGM Battery up front, and a Kinetic HC1200 AGM battery under amp rack in trunk. I will only play system with car running, as of now my sitting voltage is a steady 14.8 volts without A/C on and 14.6 with A/C on. I live in the south so temperatures can reach upward of 104+ degrees. I was wondering which amplifier a Lanzar OptiDrive Opti2000D or Soundstream Tx1.2600D would you all choice to run these subs. All subs are wired parallel to make a 0.5 ohm mono load... Please help!!!!!

i would look into a bc2k if you can save a few more buck up for it, imo i would stay away from those amps just from other experiences lol but that is entirely up to you. any pics of your box? i love me some RE audio

The Lanzar Opti2000D is a proven amp (it's fairly old actually) and it will pull a daily .5 ohm without a problem. Never really hear anything bad about the Opti besides its somewhat bland exterior.

I have a Opti4kD (same as S/S 6500 but more realistically rated)
The thing is a monster, it's been beaten up over the years but still works flawlessly - it's a keeper.

Out of the two... Lanzar

Sealed enclosure?? Those subs would do better in a ported.....unless your going for SQ. I would suggest other brand name amps to handle your .5 ohm load too.

i wouldnt go with the soundstream to run at .5 ohm, ive used a few and they didnt hold up at a .5 ohm load....granted they really arent meant for it. But i did have a smoke show with a soundstream pcx2000d and a rubi2500.1 both on good electrical. Could have fried eggs easy on either amp after minutes of play time. Id say opti, but i have no experience with Lanzar. Now on the other hand i ran one of my Crescendo bc2000d's at .5 ohm its whole 2 1/2 year period i had it for and it never had one bit of an issue, not even heating up.

Soundstream Tx1.2600D is my choice....I have one in my blazer now and it runs .5 all day spent the last month running it daily at .25 so it should handle the .5 easy. I also clamped atleast rated out of it. And with its rating if you do usaci you can run 0-600

i believe the tx1.2600 does its 2600 at .5ohm right? i think those are the amps EXO ran to his ss xxx's....but .25 is a little low id say but you must be rising quite a bit so the amp when being played isnt actually seeing a .25ohm load
