Default 1000c4 blowing fuses

Today while I was driving my crescendo 1000c4 popped its on board fuses. I've had this amp for a couple years with no issues. My typical full tilt volume is 27 on my alpine. They popped at volume 2 while I was about to make a phone call. Put some new fuses in and they popped a few seconds after power up. So I pulled the cover off and I can't see any burn marks and nothing smells burned. Anybody got any ideas?

Yeah...something shorting out. Immed pops fuses...which is a good thing, narrows down your hunt for the "bad bug". I'd check your wiring, power, ground, etc. Maybe a strand of wire is touching the neg somehow. And yes it can happen and blow fuses....it's happened to me.

I agree with Tim.

if you want to see smoke, go buy 40amp fuses and put them in. Assuming the fuses don't blow, you'll get a smoke show from the power supply.

right now, the fet is only half dead... it hasn't let the smoke out yet.

you need new fets. replacing them before they actually explode and burn.. would be sooo nice..

I checked all my connections. No strands shorting anywhere on power ground or remote. Speaker terminals are good as well. I actually checked those before I pulled the cover off. I don't know a whole lot about amps so what does the power supply look like so I can check that?
