Default Need amp help bad fellas... The only thing that's holding me up..

What's up guys. Here's the low down. I have everything set up to buy but I'm stuck on my two amps. I need amps for my components and my sub.

Components are ID ctx65. 100rms 4ohms

Sub is a RF P3SD4 ( or 2 ohm ) 12". Dual voice coil 400rms.

I'd want to over shoot the RMS on the amps to account for efficiency to an extent.

I'm on a slight budget of around $300.

I was thinking for the components to get the hifonics zrx500.2.

And the sub, Rockford Fosgate R500X1D.

Any suggestions guys would be appreciated...

I would get:

Audio Technix 800 1 Amp Amplifier 800W RMS 2000W Max Class D 1 Ohm Stable | eBay

and

Precision Power P900 4

total is about $335. The PPI will offer you the ability to go active on the comps with the built in crossovers and from what I have read about both of these amps... they will not disappoint!

clear away from the rockford man, much better out there for the money. look through the classifieds. get that Audio Technix amp and get a D2 sub that is rated for 600rms. SA-12, lvl3, vvx12, etc... list goes on my friend.

messege me if you would like for some guidance because im sure i just kind of blind sided you there.

Gopiyu,
Also on that AT sub amp you recommended, are they underrated? Does it push more than 400rms? I wanted something that was around 500 to account for inefficiency...

Just an FYI on why Im looking at that sub, I need to go with that shallow sub that I listed. That sub was recommended to be from SPL2k, the guy that makes boxes specifically for my truck. Look him up. He said that sub ( and two others ) perform the best in his boxes.

Dont see why not, looks to be in good shape. Not sure if the new ones come with a warranty of any kind but if they do its certainly worth 40$.

The amp is under rated .... will do roughly 1200 at 1 ohm.

ok.. do this first.. some research
youll find that the Audio technix are a korean amplifier..better than 99% of china shit out there ( kicker rockford etc etc)
that little 800.1 has 120amp worth of fusing

now go look at other 1200w rms rated amps ( that are again rated for 120amps.) just the fuse rating alone should tell you its slightly underrated for sure
always do the BIG 3 upgrade too..
