OK I finally picked up me another 12 which brings my total to 3. I have 3 Obsidian Audio 12s dual 4 ohm and a Crescendo 3kwp to power them. This will be in the trunk of my Dodge Charger. This will be a trunk build and the only way I can fit the subs in there would be subs upward, but not really sure on which direction to face my port, Im thinking of firing it back towards the trunk. Also I have 6x9s in the rear deck which have a black insulation material covering the bottom of them. Should I remove this material and would my 6x9s be damaged by the subs? Now on to the wood, I stopped in Home Depot yesterday and I decided to try some wood other than mdf for once. There were 4 different types of plywood that struck my interest: hardwood maple, birch hardwood, oak hardwood, and sandeply. The maple is $41 while the rest are $47, they all look fairly similar to me, what do you all think? Also is it beneficial to double layer the baffle if the subs are facing upwards, would just bracing the inside make more sense?
here are the woods:
