Hope that you're doing well brothers,
I just read thread in other well known forums about doing hair tricks!
Guy was asking: how can I do hair tricks?
Some guys answered you should tune high and play LOW, But if you want to FLEXx tune low play LOW...!
The problem is no one ever correct that guys which is impressive,
Guys PLZ you shouldn't play lower than your f3 (3db lower than the tuned freaquncy),
If you play lower you will lose cone control and end up by blowing the SUB (Broken tinsel leads, Burnt voice coils and Bottoming)!!!
There is formula that will work but not accurate since that different size enclosures and different SUBs will act differently due to their T/S Parameters!
Take the box tuning (I.e. 30hz) divide it by 4 (I.e. 7.5) substract 7.5 from box tuning freaquncy A.k.a fb, Your f3 will be 22.5Hz !
ATTENTION: Always adjust your Subsonic Filter to the box f3, Do not adjust it lower than the f3, The only thing will let you do hair tricks by playing lower than your f3 is your SUB's cone will lose the control and by losing control it will move very fast and hard because you are nearly free airing it, That's why it will move more air but it will blow up in very short period.
NOTE: I posted this thread just to help the guys who don't know about tuning and the f3, So I'm helping them protecting their SUBs!
If I'm wrong correct me PLZ!
Thank you for reading and excuse my language, Best Regards.
