Default Fiberglass door pods

Does doing this ruin your door panel? If I want to is there way to do it in a way where I can remove them in the future and have the panel look stock?

Not really that I'm aware of, unless you can have the pods stick way out and attach them with a double side tape? The problem you'll run into is that you can't use the doors internal volume and door speakers are infinite baffle designed. Kick pods might be a option you could look at. Q forms...Q Logic Enclosures*|* Q Forms Kick Panels
You can sell the pods and put back stocks if you sell the car

In that case you should hog out you stock locations and use no pods. Most newer cars have enough room to cut a opening to accommodate a single 8 with no issue. If you ever decide to sell the car buy or make some adapters to put stock or after market back in in it's place

I would buy a nice set of components say like the mezzos if your like'n that brand. The problem with what your think'n is that almost all PA speakers in an 8" format will only go down to 100HZ. (Maybe the endos go lower but I'm not into it anymore like T Fade is)You'd be better off with some true 8" mid bass speakers instead, say like silver flutes, I have no experience with silver flutes other than T Fade has endorsed them in every post about mid bass

Thanks for all the info! I wish I could say I have a newer car lol it's a 1998 f150, just got done putting my sa12s in and the way it's tuned so low(28hz) completely drowns out any highs and mids:/ maybe I will just buy another door panel to fiberglass and leave the stocker in the garage lol

I think you could put a set of 8's in there no sweat and leave panels alone. I have personally done it before in a Ranger.

If I remember right, some people cover there door panels in good painters tape or plastic wrap before laying fiberglass over them... then once iit hardens you find a way to attach the panel ... I my self am not a fan of sanding at all so ill usually only modify panels I can easily get for cheap to return the vehicle to stock

Painter's tape is exactly what I used before making the base of mine...
