Default Knukonceptz 1/0 to 4 ga reducer review

I wasnt real happy with my purchase of these so I thought I would share why. Purchased for some testing of an amp with 4ga inputs but turned out they didn't fit.

Based on this little snipet of a chart I found on wiki AWG standards show 4g to be 5.189. If I understand correctly car audio wire is about 10% larger due to the air space created by the stands so lets call it 5.7 mm.

When they didnt fit i measured the amp...

Cool, no worries there its a little bit oversize, as it should be to allow room for the wire be inserted.

Now I measure the inputs...

To top it off the 1/0 knu wire is a VERY tight fit. Not that easy to get them on.

Do you have another amp with 4 ga. inputs? the ap amps seem to have smaller inputs than most amps, the ap CCA 4ga wire dont even fit the ap mini amps

i dont think the chart you have is completely accurate. i could be wrong tho

TM adapters are .315" or 7.9 mm, an they are loose in a apsm mini 1500

I dont I dont even have any 4ga wire. I tried to figure all this out before posting a negative review but it still looks to me that the post is much larger than it should be. Going off awg wire standards was about the best path I would take. I also took a look at Knu's 4g specs on their site and it is listed at 8mm as compared to this 8.39 for the post. We all know knu wire to be over-sized and this is even larger than that.

For me not that big of a deal, grabbed the grinder and 5 min later problem fixed but I'm going to guess most people dont want to do that.

That is the apsm mini 1500 thats in the pic so the 7.9 mm shouldn't fit either.

Heres another chart from another site as an additional reference. Still need to add 10% but even with that were quite a bit off.

No worries. Any input is always appreciated. If anything people now know the exact size and can measure before they buy
