I have found that the farther back the baffle sits from the trunk opening the lower the system likes to play. And it is generally louder on the meter. But then you run into issues with getting enough enclosure volume. I have trunk walled several 15's in my civic and if the baffle is flush with the seat opening, it always sounds like ass. Recessed as far back as possible helps a lot, at least in my case.

Yeah that is the biggest issue for sure. Especially if you are not wanting to build the enclosure in the trunk. And it leaves you even more limited on space for batteries/amps/caps.

I think your vehicle just likes it at that frequency. Or you can try Aeroports.

Can't move the box back.. and I'm stuck with 7 cubes gross. I was thinkin to try to put a pair of 12s in a seperate nox facing back. And have this box act like a trunk. What yall think?

Your tuning too high, with woofers that already love the higher notes.
