Default Install EQ with a stock deck

Hey guys I am trying to find a tutorial to install an aftermarket EQ to a stock deck. I have an 06 Dodge Magnum with the Boston Acustics stereo/nav. I am wondering if/how I can install an EQ to get more tuning ability for my speakers.

In my opinion, you are better off replacing the radio.

Audio Control, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, JL Audio and JBL all make OEM integration EQ-DSP units... but those units cost more than a good quality head unit.

Thanks for the reply. Thats what I am thinking too, but I want to keep my stock stereo so I can use my bluetooth and steering wheels controls, and keep a stock appearance.

the only processor I know of which is currently made which accepts speaker level inputs and gives speaker level outputs is the JBL MS-8.

Installing a aftermarket hu is a pain in the ass because most of the modules for keeping your accessories don't work. I'm running a clarion eq with my stock hu because of that. Just get an eq and a hi Lo converter and be done with it.

That's what I'm doing with my wifes truck. Going to use the Clarion EQ. After I buy all of the factory interfaces to use steering wheel controls, and adjust the DVD player in the back for my son it literally doubles the price. And for that matter I can't even find one that will adjust the factory DVD player.

So with this option I would just need to get another hi/low converter and run the RCA's from that to the EQ?

I already have a hi/low converter for my sub amp currently. Do you think I will be able to tap into that or just get another one?

Just need one hi lo. Connect eq directly to the hi lo and your amps to the eq
