In hindsight I probably should have gone this route haha. But I wasn't looking to get it shiny, and also leave the original black within the heatsink fins at the time.

Looks like that amp has made many memories there though! Haha, but I do agree, it does look like it's seen better days.
But, Alas I always admire function over form though. For example, that xterminator has seen multiple owners, wet floors, rust, drops, and multiple trips to the amp repair shop(I peeled at least 10 service stickers off the back plate when I painted it) including one while I have bumped it. Still kicks the hell out of anything I hook up to it. I have to watch how hard I run it on my current setup, or it tries to burn the voice coils out of my drivers. Rated 450w RMS at 2 ohm my ass lol. If it was pushing that I should be well within the recommended power rating for two older Alpine Type S 10s.
Out of curiosity what's the barebone amp below it?
Edit: Looking at it again it looks like the guts to that shell, isn't it?
